U.S., Saudi Arabia Share Interest
in Stable Energy Market

Under Secretary of State for Economic, Business and Agricultural Affairs Alan Larson said the United States and Saudi Arabia have shared interests in the stability and reliability of the international oil market.

In a speech to a conference hosted by the Council on Foreign Relations, the Petroleum Industry Research Foundation, Inc., and the US-Saudi Arabian Business Council in Washington April 22, Larson outlined the steps that Saudi Arabia and the United States have taken to improve the stability and reliability of the global oil market, as called for in the U.S. National Energy Policy report which was issued in 2001.
